Reset Tech is seeking a Finance & Operations Manager to oversee financial operations in the UK. This role blends hands-on financial management with the participating in the strategic design of systems that strengthen efficiency, accuracy, and long-term organizational resilience.
This is an exciting opportunity for an operations generalist who pairs technical excellence in financial administration with curiosity about how organizations work. You enjoy variety in your day-to-day work and are energized by balancing different tasks and responsibilities.
The role is 50% FTE. 100% FTE role will be considered for a candidate who is fluent in German and has experience managing German entity operations. For part-time positions, preferred days are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. It is fully remote, with the option to work from our centrally-located London or Berlin office.
Position responsibilities
Financial Planning & Analysis
Lead annual financial planning in coordination with the COO and quarterly forecasting and identify any funding gaps.
Monitor and manage cash flow by reconciling grant receipts and disbursements against projected expenses to ensure uninterrupted operations.
Contribute to automation of financial planning, analysis and reporting.
Bookkeeping & Internal Controls
Liaise with external finance and legal service providers such as bookkeepers, tax consultants and auditors to achieve financial management goals.
Supervise record keeping, transaction processing, bank and credit card reconciliations, and grant coding in line with UK financial reporting standards (IFRS) - and a focus on efficiency, clarity and continuous improvement
Maintain secure, cloud-based documentation.
Maintain internal controls, and audit readiness.
Contribute to keeping finance and operations SOPs up to date in digital handbooks.
Respond to internal and external financial inquiries, and provide insights as needed
Reporting & Compliance
Review monthly accounts and annual statements.
Coordinate VAT and Corporate Tax filings with external providers and oversee the statutory reporting to local authorities.
Develop and monitor donor budgets, prepare donor reports, and conduct variance analysis.
Support the global resource-sharing project with other Reset Tech entities globally
Support audits, including documentation and liaison with auditors.
Administration
Source, vet, and manage a small set of vendors across insurance, facilities, accounting, audit, spend management, travel, and digital services—either as the local lead or as a contributor for global coverage.
Support the negotiation of those contracts.
Maintain a digital vendor register, including tracking renewals and service-level agreements.
Strengthen duty of care by proactively coordinating protection services.
Monitor organizational mail and ensure timely follow-up.
Advisory & Collaboration
Advise the COO, Head of Finance & Operations, and legal team on finance and compliance, and make recommendations for ongoing improvements in functionality as required
Provide input on regulatory changes, grant structuring, and governance.
Collaborate with colleagues and advisors across jurisdictions.
Support team retreats with financial and logistical planning.
Your profile
You are:
Experienced in financial administration, with strong knowledge of compliance and legal standards.
Curious and adaptable, eager to learn other financial reporting standards, such as German GAAP.
Proactive, independent, and detail-oriented, comfortable managing nonprofit and for-profit structures.
Familiar with (or open to learn) international transfer pricing.
Humble, self-aware, and willing to consult advisors when needed.
Collaborative, thriving in small, diverse, and inclusive teams.
Open to regional (EU) travel.
